Titanium can be an extremely tough material to process. Proper tooling, fixturing and programming techniques are critical. Due to the lightweight nature and large material removal required on Aerostructures, the ramifications of these considerations are even more profound. In this live-cutting seminar, Mastercam, Third Wave Systems, and Mitsubishi Materials U.S.A. collaborate to show the benefits of applying technology to the Machining process up front and how this can optimize Titanium Aerostructure production long before the first chip has been taken – reducing time to market.
