We are proud to report our most recent workshop bringing together leading thinkers, innovators, and experts in machining modeling ended on a high note with participants eager to know when the next one will be held. “We pulled together leaders from some of the most advanced organizations in the industry to offer hands-on lessons in using machining modeling to scale productivity,” said Kerry Marusich, President and CEO of Third Wave Systems. “By the end of the session, attendees understood the power of machining modeling–highlighted with a demonstration showing a doubling of productivity in high-performance cutting.”

The seminar took place on Thursday, December 2, at the MADE Competence Center, Politecnico di Milano, Bovisa Campus, in Milano, Italy. Specialists from Sandvik, Team 3D, Celada, and more led the gathering through a day of hands-on machining strategy and analysis to address the toughest machining process challenges including:

• Understanding Chip Flow to Establish Baseline
• Using Toolpath Analysis to Identify Opportunities–Even in the Most Efficient Situations
• Significant Innovations in Cutting Tool Development Technology

The event also included a private demonstration of AdvantEdge and Production Module machining modeling technology bringing to life a vision of the future of machining innovation. “This combination of guidance from industry innovators, hands-on learning, and a personal tour through leading machining systems innovation made this particular workshop a truly unique experience,” says Marusich.
